Race & Class is an academic journal that focuses on racism, empire, and globalization. The journal is funded by the London-based Institute of Race Relations, a think tank dedicated to investigating issues of contemporary racism. According to its website, the Institute is “at the cutting edge of the research and analysis that inform the struggle for racial justice in Britain, Europe and internationally.” Its various publications have a combined 7,910 subscribers with articles available online for purchase.

Usefulness:
Understanding a possible resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict requires an understanding of its history. The author sets forth an extensive history of the United States’s involvement in supporting Israel. Fundamentalism in America plays an important role in determining the country’s current foreign policy towards Israel and Zionism. Likewise, the country’s reaction to the events of September 11th shaped the way the country viewed Islam and the Arab world.
